Checked on Al & Cindy's cabin yesterday. When we left Lac du Flambeau there was no sign of snow. 40 minutes later when we reached Presque Isle there was already 2-3 inches on the ground and it was snowing like crazy. Weather reports indicated they ended up with a total of 8" in one day.
So we thought this would be the end of our Northwoods Adventure. We were packed up and ready to head back to Milwaukee when we received a response from one of our many inquiries in the eleventh hour. Turns out the owners are from West Bend, and the cabin is in Manitowish Waters. What are the chances??? ...the adventure once again has life!!

Went exploring around our neighborhood today; saw a couple of eagles and came upon a deer skeleton. Chilly outside but beautiful! Weather forecast predicting 4 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. Oh and our Landlord called; they accepted an offer on the house. We have 30 days to find a new place to live...the adventure continues!

Our First Night

Well we made it to the Northwoods! Bosco's a little shaky, poor guy's not cut out for the gypsy life. After unpacking we set out for town to pick up provisions. We made it back in time to see the Packers squeak out a win vs San Diego. Not long after the game, the power went out. Luckily the generator kicked in and some lights turned back on. 30 minutes later we spotted a truck headed down our driveway spotlighting the woods, apparently trying to locate the utility box. Power back on! At last we could now relax, including Bosco, and enjoy the rest of the evening.
